Khadijah bint Khuwaylid was a respected and successful Meccan businesswoman who became the Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ first wife and the very first person to accept Islam. Her emotional and financial support during the difficult early years of revelation was, by the Prophet's own account, indispensable to the survival of the new faith, and she is remembered as one of the most honoured women in Islamic history.
