Prayer times are calculated estimates

Prayer times are produced by astronomical calculation for the location and method you select. Different calculation methods, elevation, and local mosque practice all produce small differences. Where the two differ, follow the timetable of the mosque you pray at.

The qibla compass depends on your device's magnetometer and can be affected by nearby metal or magnets. Treat it as an aid, not a precise instrument.

Hijri dates and moon sighting

Hijri dates shown on the site are calculated and may differ by a day from the date announced locally. The start of Ramadan, Eid and other months follows the announcement of the recognised moon-sighting authority in Mauritius.

Directory listings

Mosque and halal listings are contributed by the community and checked by moderators before publishing, but details change. Halal certification in particular should be confirmed directly with the business. If something is out of date, please let us know.
